  Summary
In December 2001, the Attorney General announced a public consultation into the role and practices of the Crown Prosecution Service in cases arising from a death in custody. A Consultation Paper was published in April 2002 and comments invited. The consultation process also included a public seminar. On 16 July 2003 the Attorney General published a report of his Review. He also made a statement to Parliament.
