Attorney General addresses House of Commons at prisoner voting debate

At the start of today's parliamentary debate on prisoner voting the Attorney set out to explain the legal framework within which the European Court of Human Rights has made its decisions. The Government then sought the view of the House of Commons as to the best way to proceed, mindful of that legal framework.
