Her Majesty's Crown Prosecution Service Inspectorate (HMCPSI)
Established in 2000, HMCPSI provides assurance to Ministers on the quality of justice and the efficiency and effectiveness of the CPS, through an independent inspection programme HMCPSI also works with other inspectorates in the criminal justice system on joint and thematic inspections and by agreement, HMCPSI also conducts inspections of Revenue and Customs Prosecutions Office, the Services Prosecuting Authority and in future the Serious Fraud Office.
